For the Everglades National Park boat tour it takes approximately 45 minutes to Flamingo, a destination inside the Everglades Park. There you will find a National Park Ranger's Station with bathrooms, convenient store, and a place to explore. To truly enjoy this boat tour, book a full day with Capt. Mike and take your time looking at all the wonderful sights.
What you'll be seeing offered with this boat tour, will be Fl. Keys wild birds; sharks swim past the boat; dolphins playing in the bow wake. Oh, and I forgot about all of our Florida turtles that hunt for lobsters hiding in the ledges created by the tidal currents between the flats. There's Florida manatees out there too, drinking from fresh water aquifer springs - Florida Bay is littered with these fresh water springs and turtle grass, the main diet of the manatee. Often times there will be a manatee calf with its mother, just swimming along. Mike will spot the manatee for you, because the first sighting will be their nostrils taking in a breath.
In addition, you'll see large fish swirling around eating smaller fish. This looks like a whirlpool and you'll see the dorsal fins and bellies of the predator fish. There are many sharks (no, they won't bite you) to see because of the swallow water of the Everglades Park.
