Be sure to take advantage of what the Florida Keys are truly about. The beautiful waters, the bounty of wild birds, and the incredible fishing.
Capt. Mike offers a Fl. Keys Wild Bird Sightseeing Boating Trip. This boat trip is for the Wild Bird enthusiasts. The Florida Everglades National Park has many out islands that can only be reached by boat. Capt. Mike will take you close to these islands, but not too close that it would scare our precious wild birds off their nests. We don't have to tell you, but be sure to bring your zoom lens for those great camera shots of rare birds.
Expect to see these birds on this Fl. Keys wild bird boat tour:
In the winter months, the white pelican is often seen fishing with 1000's of cormorants. Plus, the brown pelican winters in the Florida Keys after nesting in the Carolinas during the summer months. You'll see their offspring and be able to identify an immature brown pelican by its white belly. This is how Capt. Mike remembers - white belly is similar to a baby's diaper! The roseate spoonbill is always fun to see with the bright reds and pinks of its feathers. The great white heron is home to the Florida Keys. Blue herons are also seen both winter and summer months. Ospreys, or as we call them here in the Fl. Keys, Fish Hawks, are numerous in the Everglades. Great news for us, the bald eagles are making a strong come-back here on our deserted Florida Keys' out islands. Bitterns, little blue herons, snowy egrets, kingfishers are all there.
Book Capt. Mike for your bird watching tour of the Florida Bay and Florida Everglades National Park! You'll have a wonderful day.
